Patriot Act Hacks

From today's Daytona Beach News-Journal: "The most compelling argument in favor of renewing the USA Patriot Act is that no terrorist attacks have taken place in the United States since 2001, when it was passed. Patriot Act advocates make an automatic connection between the two. The connection makes as much sense as attributing President Bush's re-election to the fact that the Red Sox won the World Series six days earlier. The facts just don't support the connection.
